As the Director, Tribunal and Registry Services, you will be responsible for leading the capability and development of a highly skilled team of staff across the Tribunal and Registry Services Unit, to deliver high-quality services to the public, the tribunal, and the registry.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the effective management of QCAT's Tribunal and Registry Services in line with relevant legislation, policies, and delegated authority, ensuring adherence to ethical decision-making principles and standards.
Contribute to Courts and Tribunals and whole-of-government service priorities to deliver outcomes aligned with community expectations.
Sponsor and lead change to develop and maintain organisational culture that actively seeks opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in support of excellence in trauma-informed service delivery.
Analyse and solve diverse and complex problems and provide strategic and operational support to the Assistant Director-General, QCAT.
Provide high level advice and support for the Attorney-General, Director-General, Deputy Director-General, and Assistant Director-General as required.
Provide high-level subject matter expertise to drive key QCAT's reform initiatives by partnering with staff and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of contemporary fit-for-purpose outcomes and benefits.
Lead strategic workforce planning and refine business processes and practices across Tribunal and Registry Services.
Identify emerging issues, trends and changes in the delivery of tribunal services, and lead changes in QCAT's business processes.
Build strong and enduring partnerships across DJAG, Courts and Tribunals and with other key external stakeholders, including QCAT judicial officers and tribunal decision-makers to ensure delivery of effective and timely tribunal services.
Ensure a high standard of financial, resource, risk management and reporting systems are embedded across your practices.
Strive for personal growth and critically reflect on own performance, practice and impacts as an organisational leader.
Liaise across the organisation, including QCAT judicial officers and tribunal decision-makers, senior executives and other relevant agencies and third parties to provide advice on complex strategic and operation tribunal matters.
Represent the organisation on committees and working groups both internally and externally.
Prepare submissions, briefs, memoranda, and briefing notes as required.
Applications to remain current for 12 months.
