Details of the offer

• Manage budgetary systems for the region and assist senior management by providing a sound basis for decision making in terms of cost-effective program delivery, and monitoring their financial and performance position.
• Assist the Regional Director in matters pertaining to corporate reporting including financial reports, human resource management reports, performance monitoring reports, estimates committee and annual reporting requirements as well as other adhoc reports, and liaise with the relevant areas to ensure efficient information flow. Prepare other high-level correspondence as required.
• Prepare the annual budget for the region and coordinate the collection and analysis of other financial information to assist with ongoing budget forecasting.
• Provide timely and accurate advice to senior management on financial and human resource matters (including HR consultancy advice, recruitment, payroll and establishment management), based on analysis and options relating to the ongoing review of the region's financial position, performance targets, and output position ensuring these align with current policies and procedures.
• Coordinate procurement activities and contract management obligations for the region in accordance with business needs and Queensland Government requirements.
• Manage performance frameworks for the region including workforce performance and business unit outcomes.
• Implement and maintain Departmental and Whole of Government administrative systems including the maintenance of accurate and consistent information documentation and retrieval systems and the coordination of asset replacement strategies including minor works programs.
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the work unit including the development, documentation and implementation of administrative practices that represent best practice and continuous improvement and are compliant with relevant statutory and departmental requirements, regulations and policies.
