The Role:
Liaise closely with Heads of Department in Allied Health Provide management oversight and coordination of allied health paediatric inpatient and outpatient services across Hospitals North Provide leadership for the allied health team members working in paeds Represent Allied Health North for delegated meetings and projects. Lead and support multidisciplinary Quality Improvement and Research activities Successful applicant will demonstrate:

The Team:
The Allied Health Paediatric team is a large and dynamic team of allied health professionals consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, speech pathologists, psychologists, and social workers. Services are delivered to both paediatric inpatient and outpatient areas. The team is collocated on site with the Paediatric Outpatient Service and operate in the Luthea Tower at the Launceston General Hospital.
As an integral member of our Paediatric multi-disciplinary team, you will play a leading role in safeguarding children and adolescents through delivering contemporary, evidence-informed practice and high-quality patient experiences. You will be looked upon as a clinical mentor and leader by others.
Our allied health, nursing, and medical paediatric services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term part-time, day worker position, working up to 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing from 24 November 2024 until 30 May 2025.

Salary: $120,114 to $130,181 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022. You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum. Benefits available to eligible candidates:

Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health course of study at a recognised tertiary institution, and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association. Current Working with Children Registration. *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled, or has its conditions altered.
