The Infrastructure Services Division is looking for a Principal Program Officer to work with a small team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to review, develop and improve our capital grants processes.
A background in program or grants management, and experience in facilitating ideas through to investment recommendations would be desirable.

As the Principal Program Officer, you will work as part of a small team to monitor, evaluate, analyse and report on key funding initiatives and grants management ecosystem:
Lead business improvement activities by analysing and evaluating grants management practices, processes, tools and resources. Provide advice on the development of appropriate methodologies, metrics and data sets, management systems and processes required to effectively manage and implement the grants management ecosystem. Administer and monitor priority program frameworks. Undertake contract management, financial management, and records management functions in the management of funding agreements. Coordinate various program activities and initiatives, contributing to the development of major briefings, reports, submissions and advice for senior management regarding the key objectives of the program as required. Provide high-level advice to key internal and external stakeholders and client groups. Liaise and negotiate with diverse stakeholder groups across various agencies. About You We are looking for a highly analytical team member with strong critical thinking who has demonstrated experience in the management and review of high-profile capital grant programs, ensuring key milestones are met.
To succeed in the role, you will undertake stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining productive working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes with a commitment to effective capital grants management.
The ideal applicant will be inquisitive and analytical in nature, have a keen eye for detail and understand the political reporting environment.
