Primary Objective: To provide and maintain support services for Data Centre Services (DCS) Operations Support Group (OSG), delivering 24 x 7 availability and support for NTG Client Agencies in service delivery in accordance with service standards.
Context Statement: Some out of hours work and on-call duties on a rostered basis may be required, along with backup of Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) Mainframe Security administration during business hours.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain the Automation, Batch Scheduling and Report Management in a Mainframe environment. Maintain the provision of general batch Job Control Language (JCL) modifications, client query support, problem resolution, and recovery for client applications. Assist in the implementation and handling of Change Controls. Assist in projects relating to the delivery of OSG services to Data Centre Services. Liaise with customer agencies regarding their service requirements. Assist in RACF, Change Management, and Incident operational duties. Liaise and work with multidisciplinary teams across DCS, including external stakeholders. Selection Criteria - Essential: A working knowledge of a Mainframe operating environment based on the Mainframe product set: Z Operating System (z/OS), Control M/O/D/R, Control D Web Access, and RACF, or transferable skill sets to an equivalent standard. Excellent customer focus skills, with high level of interpersonal and communication skills. Working knowledge of Change Control procedures with emphasis on client expectations. The ability to work effectively as part of an operations and multidisciplinary team, without direct supervision. Ability to maximise personal effectiveness and exercise initiative, discretion, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Well-developed attention to detail, and analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated work ethic that emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful, and innovative. Further Information: Appointment to this position will be dependent on the successful applicant being cleared through a current Criminal History Check to work on sensitive Government systems.
