As a caring and diligent Family Safety Coordinator, you will aim to improve victim-survivors and their children's safety, reduce the number of children coming into care, and help manage risks associated with the perpetrator's use of violence.

Family Safety Coordinators will work with individual family members, as well as the broader community, to identify and engage with the most appropriate services to assist affected people in escaping FDV, allow for healing, and build stronger and safer families.

Your day-to-day may involve:
Recording and maintaining documentation for information management and reporting, including maintaining statistical data collection requirements and providing information for the program evaluation.
Building and maintaining relationships and networks to promote MACM (Multi Agency Case Management) and improve service delivery and enhance the profile of, and processes relating to, the Family Domestic Violence Response Team and MACM.
Implementing and coordinating case management processes for individuals, couples, and families open to the Family Safety Service, including but not limited to meeting attendance, preparation, and facilitation.
Working with the local teams, districts, and key stakeholders to identify families suitable for referral to the Family Safety Service.
Coordinating a trauma-informed service response that focuses on managing risks associated with the perpetrator, in order to achieve the safety of child and adult victim-survivors of FDV, allow for healing, and build stronger and safer families.
The Team
The Family and Domestic Violence Response Teams (FDVRTs) are a partnership between the Department of Communities, Western Australia Police Force, family and domestic violence Coordinated Response Services (CRS), and Department of Justice, Adult Community Corrections (ACC).
The FDVRT model aims to improve the safety of child and adult victim-survivors of family and domestic violence (FDV) and the accountability of perpetrators collaboratively.
