Permanent ongoing opportunity Full-time role - 35 hours per week + FlexTime Any NSW office location - regional location encouraged/hybrid working supported Salary ranges from $125,693.00 to $138,510.00 + super + leave loading Our Water Assessments team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer , who will coordinate the provision of advice and prepare high quality correspondence on major projects assessed as State Significant Developments/Infrastructure (SSD/SSI).
The successful candidate will be joining the dedicated, collaborative and high-performing Water Assessments team, who manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects to achieve efficient output of assessment outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
About You To be successful in this role, we are seeking someone who has applied skills and knowledge in the management of water or natural resources.
The ideal candidate will have key demonstrated experience in:
Providing advice and information and establishing and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation and issues management. Collaborating with subject matter experts on groundwater, surface water, water licensing and approvals regulation, local water utilities and other water professionals. Developing technical, regulatory and operational expertise in water matters relating to SSD/SSI major projects. Developing and improving systems and processes to maximise the efficiency and output of the Water Assessments team. Sound written and verbal communication skills and being organised and efficient. Managing and overseeing all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities.
