As our Senior Fleet Officer, you will:
Devise fleet management strategies for the National Fire Ant Eradication Program and ensure their timely execution. Ensure the fleet operations are efficient and cost-effective, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance service delivery. The opportunity as our Senior Fleet Officer, you will: Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor fleet performance and ensure maximum return on investment for the Program's resources. Oversee and maintain accurate records using fleet tracking systems, ensuring vehicles are monitored, tracked, and utilized optimally. Adhere to national, state, and program-wide regulations, policies, and safety standards in performing fleet management activities. Manage vehicle repairs and maintenance by developing a reliable system that ensures vehicles are operational and meet the required standards for the Program's needs. Support the Manager, Logistics and Supply Chain, in managing fleet-related budgets, maximizing resource allocation, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Conduct periodic surveys and inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, maximizing fleet productivity. Monitor and report on compliance, quality control, and assurance across all areas of fleet management. Maintain proper documentation and records for all fleet-related activities, ensuring transparency and accountability. Schedule and manage regular vehicle maintenance and checkups to maintain operational efficiency. Manage driver roles, ensuring adherence to regulations, safe driving practices, and company policies. Implement effective fuel management strategies to maximize fuel efficiency and drive cost savings for the Program. You may also have: Prior experience working as a fleet manager, logistics manager, or in a similar role within a large organization or government agency. Tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are desirable. Proficiency in using computerized fleet management software and tools. Valid forklift licence or experience with high-reach equipment is advantageous. Licences and registrations:
A current unrestricted 'C' class drivers' licence.
