Located in the capital's medical hub in Deakin, we have grown into a leading orthodontic practice in Canberra providing high-quality patient care for optimal aesthetic and oral health outcomes.
We offer traditional dental braces and more advanced options such as lingual/invisible braces (braces behind the teeth).

Who you must be:
A motivated Dental Hygienist / OHT with a genuine interest in Orthodontics.
Experience as an 'Orthodontic' Dental Hygienist is advantageous but not compulsory as training will be provided.
Qualified Dental Hygienist / OHT with current AHPRA registration and indemnity insurance.
A Bachelor of Oral Health or equivalent.
Fast and keen learner of our systems to develop your patient base and orthodontic career.
Excellent communicator and team player.
Builds rapport quickly with children and adults.
Strong work ethic, high EQ and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills whilst maintaining high level patient care and attention to detail.
Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working under the guidance of the orthodontist and within the scope of your competence and training.
Efficiently delivering high quality orthodontic care alongside the orthodontist, clinical team and when working autonomously.
Removing orthodontic appliances and placing bonded retainers / fixed lingual retainers.
Indirect bonding of brackets, orthodontic wire adjustments and debonding procedures.
Managing emergencies like broken / loose brackets.
Adjusting orthodontic archwires.
Upholding ADA infection control protocols.
Being involved in developing internal protocols.
Maintaining accurate patient records and educating patients on orthodontic oral hygiene.
Orthodontic record taking – x-rays, intra/extra oral photos, oral scans and impressions Desired skills and experience:
At least 1 year of previous Dental Hygienist / OHT experience Experience with dental photography, X-rays and digital scanning Computer literate.
Familiar with software - dental equipment and practice management.
