Our Health Service is expanding and so is our Oral Health team! The West Moreton Oral Health Service consists of approximately 130 staff including dentists, therapists, prosthetists, assistants, technicians, administration officers, orthodontists, and final year students on clinical placement. The service operates 47 dental chairs across three service arms to provide emergency, general and specialist dental care to eligible adults and children throughout West Moreton region.
Role Overview The role of Dental Assistant will work as part of the dental team and provide high standard of assistance as needed in the treatment of patients by Oral Health Service staff and provide efficient and appropriate services.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology and surgery procedures Demonstrated knowledge of relevant equipment, instruments, materials, medicaments, and procedures including safety procedures, Material Safety Data Sheets and Workplace Health and Safety regulations relating to the dental facility Working knowledge of the various acts, regulations and all relevant Standards that relate to dentistry Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team Ability to effectively co-ordinate procedures related to the oral health environment High level interpersonal skills, organisational skills and communication skills West Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south east corner, with a community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
