What you'll be doing We are seeking a dedicated professional to support clinicians in delivering exceptional oral health care to patients within the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).
Your daily responsibilities will include: Assisting the clinicians in providing high-quality oral health services.
Preparation of equipment, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
Ensuring effective communication with patients and the clinical team.
Helping maintain accurate patient records and a high standard of patient care Contributing to a positive, patient-focused environment.
How to Apply Apply online by submitting your resume, and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date Essential Criteria: Qualifications: Certificate III in Dental Assisting or recognised equivalent/current enrolment in the course.
Selection Criteria: Recent, adequate experience as a Dental Assistant.
Demonstrated ability to assist the clinician in a four-handed environment, with a variety of dental procedures including general and specialised care.
Demonstrated ability to perform effective infection control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting.
Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
The ability to work in a large, multidisciplinary team, and be able to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including fellow health care workers and the general public.
Excellent organisational, time-management and problem- solving skills.
