The Demi Pastry Chef reports directly to the Pastry Sous Chef – Pastry and offers an energetic and exciting hands-on approach to flawless product execution in an environment focused on safety and culinary excellence.

A few of your responsibilities Support or lead the assigned section as directed by the Sous Chef and provide training to junior staff members. Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations. Complete all duties in line with company and statutory hygiene requirements. Meet requirements for consistency and high quality in a fast-paced environment. What are we looking for Culinary School Graduate. Received apprenticeship training in Pastry. Proficiency with diverse food preparation techniques and cooking equipment. 2 years of experience post apprenticeship in food preparation, preferably in a café, hotels or high-volume setting, with strong communication skills and understanding of relevant liquor laws. Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. About You You are passionate and creative, willing to share your skills and expertise in guiding and shaping those who are new to the pastry kitchen. With exceptional communication skills, you enjoy collaborating with colleagues and management as well as interacting with our customers. You bring a proactive, positive attitude to every task and are committed to consistently delivering high standards.
