Demi Chef

Location: Regional Victoria Mornington Peninsula Work Type: Full Time Salary: $62K + Super A new and exciting opportunity exists to be part of a dynamic team at this venue located on Victoria's beautiful Mornington Peninsula.
We are seeking a qualified Demi Chef to work directly with our Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform in a fast-paced kitchen. In return, you will be provided with a workplace where you will continue to learn and develop your skills under the guidance of a supportive management team.
Duties: Menu planningEstimating food and labour costsLiaising with suppliersMonitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationEnsuring hygiene regulations are metFreezing and preserving foodsQualifications: Completion of a relevant Commercial Cookery qualification including Cert IV and a Diploma of Hospitality are a minimum requirement.Minimum of 3 years experience is also a requirement for this role.Experience Required: Show sound cookery techniques and ability to learn new onesWork well under pressureTeam orientedPositive, punctual and professional approachFamiliar with food safety and OHS guidelinesAttention to detailCompetency with ordering and managing stockPlease note, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
