About the Role Under the general direction of the Team Leader, Demerit Points and Offence Management, assist with the management and administration of the Demerit Point Scheme and licensing and registration offences through accurate data processing. This role investigates, evaluates and resolves customer and stakeholder transactions, enquiries and complaints in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role also provides advice and guidance whilst maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Demerit Point and Offence Management Officer will participate in team activities, support change initiatives and ensure data compliance and the privacy of sensitive and personal information is maintained by operating within established business rules and in line with relevant legislation.
Position Accountabilities Under general supervision, accurately process, investigate and resolve registration and licensing transactions, draft correspondence, provide advice and maintain data and information to assist in decisions in accordance with legislative requirements and established policies.Develop and maintain working relationships with customers and stakeholders to progress issues.Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant systems, legislation, work procedures and business rules.Work collaboratively as an effective team member and participate in activities to assist others in meeting team objectives and performance targets.In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic), other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.We're looking for a candidate who can provide precise and relevant information across various channels, draft clear correspondence in response to customer inquiries, and build strong stakeholder relationships to advance work activities. The ideal candidate will exercise sound professional judgment, aligning with established policies and procedures, and will be adaptable to changing work practices to foster innovation and continuous improvement. Effective teamwork and a demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail are essential.
