This role will be responsible for the planning, ordering, and delivery of a large number of SKUs into our primary warehouse location.
Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining satisfactory inventory levels to enable us to meet our customer's requirements.
Reporting to the National Inventory Planning Manager, to be successful in this role, you will need to have:
First experience of successful planning, purchasing procedures, and stock control.A high level of business and financial acumen.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail.Computer literate to the following minimum levels: Word, PowerPoint – basic; Excel – intermediate.The ability to be a successful team player, whilst also being able to work autonomously.Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise successfully with people at all levels, both within the organisation and externally.Demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise, and organize workloads to meet customer delivery expectations.Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, appropriate to the role.Be highly motivated, adaptable, flexible, and dynamic.A desire to advance and willingness to challenge existing processes and procedures and think laterally.Ability to manage a challenging workload and meet deadlines.Experience of an ERP system is essential, desirably with Microsoft D365 or a similar system.Primary Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned: Plan and place purchase orders with overseas & local suppliers;Follow up orders placed to ensure on-time delivery into our warehouse;Identify inventory gaps or deficiencies that could impact on KPIs;Accurately maintain system forecasts for all fast-moving products;Accurately maintain other system parameters such as MINIMUM levels per site across Australia;Track and highlight any products selling above forecast as well as slow-moving and dead stock;Finalise the setting up of new products in the system including liaising with the Marketing Team or National Sales Manager as appropriate;Monitor and maintain any changes that need to be made to supplier lead times;Organise the expediting or de-expediting of orders when actual demand differs from forecast;Proactively manage all exceptions such as backorders and overdue purchase orders;Maintain communications with internal stakeholders regarding orders, deliveries, delays, and constraints;Work closely with the Warehouse Receiving Team for any incoming deliveries;Liaise with freight forwarders and courier companies regarding the shipment of any available orders.With an excellent working environment and the potential to grow with a Company really going places, this is a great opportunity for a motivated and passionate person to take their career to the next level.
