Demand Planning Manager - Mining, On Highway And Csp Upfit Operations

DESCRIPTION In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Lead efforts within one or more Supply Chain functions including materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management, and order fulfillment. Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met from end to end in each of the supply chains. Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain. Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems. Lead a team of planners to partner with respective segment teams to ensure alignment between demand and supply. Work cross functionally and connect globally to improve interactions that deliver positive stakeholder experiences. Actively support deployment of new systems, work to improve cross functional and internal handoffs that increase operating efficiencies and promote positive working environments. Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment. Mitigate long term supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders. Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships. Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets. Develop, understand and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators. Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans. Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate. Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense resources and capital. RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Inventory Management and Optimization - Uses analytics and algorithms to determine the optimal level of inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain within specific constraints (warehouse space, customer delivery, etc.); provides guidance and expertise on planning parameter refinement; develops inventory strategies to support Cummins' strategy and not just a business unit strategy. Materials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.
