About The Role
We currently have an opportunity for a Demand Planner to join our Procurement team based in our Oakleigh site. The Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting customer demand, developing accurate demand plans and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer service objectives. 
 
Key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:
• Developing and maintaining demand forecasts based on historical data and market trends
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and insights for demand forecasting
• Analysing demand patterns and adjusting forecasts as needed to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
• Monitoring inventory levels and recommending actions to optimize inventory turnover 
• Communicating forecast updates, inventory status and supply chain performance metrics to stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements
• Keeping up to date on industry trends, market dynamics and customer preferences to inform demand planning decisions
• Supporting supply chain initiatives and projects as needed to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness
About you As an integral part of the team within a wider business, you will be an effective team player that can manage multiple priorities and have proven experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
For you to be successful in this role, you will need:
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights
• A detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in forecasting and inventory management
• Relevent qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related fields
• Experience within demand planning, inventory management and/or related fields
• Proficiency using demand planning software and hold advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
