What you'll do: We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Demand Planner to join the Demand Planning Team based out of our Melbourne Support Office based in Docklands.
Reporting to the Demand Planning Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and analysing the demand across all channels and customers to optimise inventory productivity for API.
Key to this role is your ability to develop and maintain critical relationships with stakeholders within the Category and Wholesale Health and Beauty teams to gain insight into demand trends and dynamics.
These insights will be used to add to the baseline forecast to drive improved forecast performance and the best possible plan for the supply team.
Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for forecast improvement.
Provide an accurate forecast to the supply planning team for appropriate stock levels.
Manage the setup and ongoing review of demand influencing factors.
Review weekly Forecast Exceptions and out of stock (OOS) for forecast improvement actions.
Manage forecasts for new lines and product life cycle stages with the category team.
Maintain and improve forecast accuracy and bias metrics.
Present information and recommendations to key stakeholders within the business.
What you'll bring: 5+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain planning with expertise in inventory management, analysis, qualification/forecasting, demand planning, and replenishment planning processes.
Experience in long lead horizon demand planning.
Proven experience in managing large SKU volumes eg 1500+ Advanced Excel and data analysis with experience using data visualization tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the business.
A desire to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
Effective prioritisation skills to focus on key factors impacting the business negatively A team player with the ability to influence others towards success.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Experience in FMCG or fast-paced industry would be advantageous A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or a related discipline.
