About the roleAre you ready to lead a dynamic team and drive product demand forecasting across a business?
We are looking for a Demand Forecasting Manager to spearhead our new Demand Forecasting team.
In this pivotal role, you'll optimize forecasting processes, drive the adoption of Relex, and influence decision-making as part of our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
Key focus areas will include:
Strategic Forecasting Leadership: Drive forecast accuracy and visibility to support strategic and operational goalsTeam Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 12, including 2 direct reportsStandardized Forecasting Approaches: Build and implement consistent forecasting methods enabled by RelexS&OP Influence: Play a crucial role in decision-making within the S&OP processStakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial, Store, and Supply Chain functionsForecasting Community of Practice: Foster a community focused on best practices in forecastingTechnology and Innovation Advocacy: Leverage advanced data analytics and innovative technologiesRelex Optimization: Enhance Relex usage and reduce manual interventionsTraining and Development: Support training initiatives related to RelexRisk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to safeguard operational healthPerformance Measurement: Drive continuous improvement and performance measurementCampaign Synchronicity: Ensure alignment across campaigns and eventsChange Management: Understand and manage the impact of changes to product and location lifecyclesAbout youWe envisage our successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field, with 5-10 years of experience in a multi-store retail environment.
In addition to overseeing complex data analysis, leadership experience (5+ years) particularly in forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, or merchandise planning is sought.
Key Skills & Attributes: Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced forecasting systems (especially Relex) and strong analytical abilitiesRetail Operations: Deep understanding of retail operations and the impact of accurate forecasting on business decisionsCommunication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across all organizational levelsPeople Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and lead high-performing teamsStrategic Leadership: Ability to set and drive the forecasting agenda with foresight and accuracyTeam Building: Skilled in developing high-performing teams aligned with strategic objectivesChange Management: Expertise in leading teams through change and fostering adaptabilityInnovative Problem Solving: Anticipates challenges and opportunitiesInfluencing: Engages stakeholders to influence decisions based on sound data and analysisRelationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build effective cross-functional relationshipsFinancial Acumen: Strong financial and commercial skillsReady to lead our Demand Forecasting team to success?
