Role Overview:
As a Demand & Supply Planner, you will play a critical role in managing the demand signal, purchasing of inventory, and daily sales exceptions, ensuring maximum service levels to customers.
You will balance the competing pressures of minimizing stock obsolescence due to use-by date issues while maintaining minimal inventory and working capital levels.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient flow of goods and services, and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:Demand Planning:
Work with the sales team, historical sales data, trends, and promotion calendars to develop a robust weekly demand forecast.Monitor daily sales fluctuations and adjust forecasts as needed.Contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process with analysis, recommendations, and reporting.Coordinate the introduction of new products into the supply chain, determining initial demand and ongoing distribution.Supply Planning:
Ensure purchasing of inventory aligns with customer requirements, maintaining stock levels that minimize waste.Proactively manage SKU stock levels to identify potential waste and initiate clearance activities.Build positive relationships with suppliers, ensuring accurate forecasts and clear communication on supply challenges.Optimize supply chain parameters (order frequencies, minimum order sizes, logistics, etc.)
for maximum efficiency.Reporting and Analysis:
Provide detailed analysis of demand and supply results to stakeholders.Create, maintain, and distribute relevant weekly and monthly reports.Provide commentary and data for the monthly S&OP process, ensuring data-driven decision-making. Key Qualifications & Competencies:Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in demand and supply planning within an FMCG environment, managing a large SKU portfolio.Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.APICS qualification is desirable.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.Experience with ERP systems.Proven ability to influence key stakeholders across functions and drive supply chain results.A customer-focused approach with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.If you are interested in this role, please contact Tom Rimmer at ******.
