Job Description What is the role?
Our newly created role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs designed to reduce the environmental impact, through driving initiatives to ensure environmental targets are identified and met.
What will you do?
Environmental Management: Monitor and manage environmental impacts, including waste management, resource use, and pollution control. Environmental Regulations: Adhere to environmental laws and regulations related to emissions, waste management, and pollution control. Reporting: Develop and oversee implementation of accurate sustainability reporting on GHG emissions and other metrics to clients and regulators. Certifications: Lead in maintaining certifications e.g. ISO 14001 and RSPO. Continuous Improvement: Regularly review audit observations and develop initiatives to improve ISO 14001 performance. Desired Skills and Experience About you.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or related field. Experience: 1+ years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge: Understanding of environmental management practices, specifically ISO 14001, Australia's Plan to Deliver Net Zero and AASB2. Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with multiple stakeholders with a view to thoroughly investigate and analyse a range of situations and providing evaluation and advice on a course of action.
