As an Estimator with Delta Group, you will be responsible for producing detailed submissions for clients, including cost estimates, programs, and procurement documentation for a variety of contracts on large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
You will assist with early engagement with potential clients and build strong relationships that lead to new business.

You will need to combine site experience with exceptional quantity surveying skills and have high attention to detail in financial and cost analysis, along with the ability to produce high-quality and accurate submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
Bid Development : Develop, plan, and compile detailed bids/quotes for large-scale projects throughout the region for potential clients.
Autonomous Management : Manage due dates and deliverables independently.
Collaboration : Work with industry experts to ensure innovative and cost-effective solutions for upcoming projects.
Supplier/Stakeholder Management : Manage key supplier and stakeholder relationships, maintaining an up-to-date register of market rates and costs.
Risk Identification : Identify risks and provide cost bounds to inform senior management's decision-making process before significant tender submissions.
Contract Management : Develop specifications, source, negotiate, and implement contracts with equipment, materials, and service providers.
Continuous Improvement : Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Relationship Management : Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
OHS Compliance : Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
Experience : Minimum of 2 years in the construction industry.
Project Estimation : Experience in project estimation and new business development.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or other engineering fields is highly regarded.
Communication Skills : Strong and confident verbal and written communication skills.
Software Proficiency : Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Project).
Team Collaboration : Willingness to collaborate with experienced team members in an office-based setting.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
Project Experience : Experience in civil construction/related industries.
Multi-tasking : Proven capacity to multi-task.
Time Management : Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and follow up.
Flexibility : Willingness to travel and/or relocate to projects as needed.
