Professional development opportunities with a defined personalised annual budget Access to flexible working arrangements, which include working from home arrangements You will work in a tight-knit, supportive team to ensure you succeed in your role YOUR ROLE The Infrastructure Delivery Officer role is to support and work collaboratively with schools to manage the delivery of school infrastructure projects, provide expert industry knowledge, liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, including architects, quantity surveyors, contractors, governing authorities, and members of Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne. The key responsibility of the Infrastructure Delivery Officer is to manage, mitigate and report on the key risks of allocated projects, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and on budget. Additional key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing overall project timeline and delivery and ensuring the site superintendent and contractor are working effectively to deliver the project, review cost plans and spatial layout, oversee tender process, prepare briefings and documentation for approvals, organize contracts and provide input and drive outcomes at site meetings. WHAT YOU WILL DO Manage project stakeholders including superintendents, contractors, and consultants on behalf of school Principals to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Ensure all project risks are documented and escalated as required and provide regular reporting to the school Principal and MACS Planning & Infrastructure Group senior managers. Deliver school infrastructure projects against quality, time and cost parameters and identify and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain within agreed parameters. Support individual schools to prioritise projects to meet future enrolment demands and deliver infrastructure that is safe, compliant and flexible. Ensure all post-occupancy information is obtained, recorded and building compliance requirements shared with the Facilities Team to ensure the school is meeting its ongoing compliance requirements. ABOUT YOU Demonstrated successful experience within infrastructure management such as project management, engineering, architecture or strategic asset management functions. Demonstrated understanding of spatial planning and workflow within an educational environment. Demonstrated experience in the delivery and management of infrastructure projects, compliance and reporting. Well-developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, briefings and policy documents. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including senior personnel in Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools and the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne. Manage and report on building contractual issues. Strong reporting and project management skills with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This is the 1.0FTE ongoing position.
