This person will be a key member of the Business Digital & Engineering Team, responsible for the delivery of Digital & Technology initiatives to Westpac's Business & Wealth division.
The role will involve delivering solutions that touch customer-facing channels as well as internally-facing platforms and tools, to deliver solutions that delight customers and staff alike.
Your responsibilities will include: Oversight of projects and programs to achieve realization of business and transformation outcomes within specified timeframes and budget.Work with key stakeholders and teams to determine the costs, scope, plan, timelines, and delivery approach for complex projects and programs.Guide the team on Westpac Ways of Working practices relevant to the stage of delivery value chain, such as sprint-based delivery and agile prioritization, to drive sustainable and cost-effective customer solutions.Manage competing priorities where needed to effectively progress work that will achieve business objectives.Build good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to support the achievement of project or program goals.Hold the team accountable for open and consistent decision-making processes to enhance transparency and increase ethical judgment.Lead and role model proactive risk management in line with the Group's Risk Management Framework.Assist the team with understanding and dealing with change effectively to persevere when faced with new situations and challenges.Collaborate with key stakeholders, teams, and partners to connect ideas and influence outcomes.Drive change and continuous improvement, leveraging sound business judgment.Provide advice to mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies and support successful project delivery in line with established timeframes and priorities.Develop executive-level reporting and drive Steering Committees.What's in it for me? What do I need? To excel in this role, you'll need:
Experience as a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager on medium to large technology projects with a budget of $2-$10 million and tight deadlines.Demonstrated knowledge in budgeting and forecasting for project financials.Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.Experience with Project Governance and related artifacts, such as:Risk Control MatrixArchitectural Change DesignTest StrategyImplementation Readiness ChecklistSteering Committee ReportsAbility to mentor and develop junior team members through indirect leadership.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Self-leader who takes pride in their work and is a brilliant communicator at all levels.Experience working on complex backend and product systems with multiple downstream integrations.Experience with Agile methodology.Hands-on experience in resource planning, hiring, and management.Experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus.Start here.
