Artisan Ornaments is a family run small business of Christmas pop-up shops operating since 2009 in major shopping centres across Western Australia.
We are looking to hire a driver & logistics staff member to help with our logistics through October-December. This is a 3-month job, with a start date of 23rd of October and a finish date of 25th December. There is additional work available in January as well.
The job entails delivering stock to our various stores around WA, as well as logistical and warehouse work. Occasionally we move equipment and furniture in trucks, setup kiosks & unpack shipping containers of stock.
Successful applicants would have the following qualities:
• Hard working/strong work ethic
• Ability to work autonomously/unsupervised
• Proactive problem-solving skills
• Physically strong – able to lift heavy furniture and work long shifts (up to 15+ hours)
• Able to work the full period, including Christmas eve 24/12
• Available to work every day of the week (possible Fridays and/or Saturdays off)
• A valid drivers license
Applicants must be familiar with driving vans and light trucks (light trucks can be driven with a regular license, we can help you familiarize yourself with them if needed).
If you have any experience with warehouse & distribution work, delivery driving in a van, furniture removals or basic handyman skills with tools, please include this in your application.
Strong preference will be given to applications which include a bit about yourself, your prior relevant experience and why you think you would be a good fit for the job.
Pay rate is $30.98 flat. Previous years, people who have worked this role have worked approximately 550-600 hours over this period.
International WHV workers welcome, but you must have a valid international driver's license.
Successful applicants will be invited to some (paid) trial shifts. Training will be provided where necessary.
