We are currently on the lookout for a passionate Delicatessen Shop Assistant for our supermarket based in Calala.
The suitable candidate will need to be available to work Monday to Friday from 4PM to 8PM .
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure adequate stock levels are always available within the Delicatessen department; Ensure that the delicatessen cabinet is attractively stocked with an appropriate range and that advertised lines are highlighted and maintained during the advertised period; Ensure that stock and fixture price marking and ticketing is of the highest standard; Ensure that the stock storeroom is adequately maintained in a clean and tidy condition: Control rotation of stock in the cool room and in the sales area; Monitor stock quality and appearance at all stages from receipt to sale and ensure that only stock of the highest quality is offered for sale. Assist in prompt mark-down action to clear deteriorating lines; Inspect delicatessen deliveries before accepting stock to ensure that quality is of the highest standard; Any other ad hoc duties that may arise; Assist the delicatessen manager with all required tasks. Experience and Qualifications Required:
1+ year experience within Retail Supermarket (preferred, not essential); Experience working in Deli (preferred, not essential); Customer service experience; Ability to multi-task when required.
