The Project Administrator / Trades Assistant will play a key role in supporting the project management and fabrication teams with a variety of tasks. This position involves preparing 3D duct modelling for quotes, assisting with stock ordering, performing light fabrication duties, and conducting stock takes to ensure smooth operations. The successful candidate will help ensure that project timelines and quality standards are met through efficient coordination and hands-on support in various areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities: 3D Duct Modeling Preparation: Assist in preparing 3D duct models using relevant software for project quotes and design purposes. Collaborate with managers to ensure accuracy and feasibility of models in accordance with project specifications. Stock Ordering & Management: Coordinate and track material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring timely stock ordering. Liaise with suppliers to ensure the correct materials are delivered on time and within budget. Fabrication Support: Provide hands-on support in the fabrication process, including cutting, assembling, and preparing ductwork components. Assist in maintaining an organized and safe fabrication workspace. Stock Take & Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock takes to ensure materials are properly accounted for and inventory is maintained at optimal levels. Assist in tracking usage and reordering materials when necessary. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the project team, including preparing documentation, coordinating schedules, and managing correspondence. Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and fabrication timelines. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in a project administration or trades assistant role, preferably in the construction, HVAC, or fabrication industry. Familiarity with 3D modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is highly desirable but not mandatory. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of fabrication processes and materials used in ductwork or similar industries. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing stock and inventory. Ability to perform light manual labour and fabrication tasks as required. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors. Team player with a proactive approach to supporting project needs. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as stock taking, handling materials, and assisting with light fabrication.
