With the Defence Industry expanding rapidly in South Australia, Wilson Security is seeking Defence Security Officers to support our Base Security Services operations across the region.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Physical Access Control Duties Providing strong Customer Service solutions to visitors, contractors & client Gatehouse duties Proactively monitoring CCTV and Access Control Systems Conducting building patrols to actively report and mitigate security & safety risk Identifying and reporting hazards and building faults for rectification Providing support to local Units and Facilities Dedicated Monitoring centre and Emergency Coordination duties Responding to emergency situations Contractor escort management duties Ad-hoc duties This is a unique opportunity for those with a background in ADF, security, policing, correctional institutions or customer service to transition into a dynamic and rewarding role.

We offer full-time positions with flexible rosters, including 4/4 off, day-only, DIDO, and family-friendly options.
Relieving Officer roles are also available, with additional allowance of up to $2500 giving you flexibility, change of environment and permanent hours.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Be available to work 12-hour shifts, including nights/weekends (24/7 availability) 4/4 Rosters (2 days, 2 nights, 4 Off) Other rosters also available.
- Including DIDO Adelaide on 7 days on 7 days off basis.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Take pride in their presentation and bearing in all interactions.
Be adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
Be a lateral thinker and problem solver, resolving issues that may arise.
Understand the chain of command and correct escalation process.
Ability to provide detailed and factually accurate reports on security incidents and HSE hazards both electronic or paper reports.
Have sound basic IT skills using a range of software.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: MUST?be an Australian Citizen Current Valid SA Security Licence A current and valid SA Driver's Licence A current First Aid Certificate DESIRABLE: Negative Vetting Clearance (NV1) ADF Veterans highly encouraged to apply.
Clearance Transfers from other Commonwealth agencies are available.
