Wilson Security's journey towards a more sustainable and responsible future is brought to life through our core values of Care, Innovation, Accountability, and Integrity.ABOUT THE ROLE:Various locations across the Adelaide regionFull Time Opportunities availableWeekday and weekend shifts availableSSIA 2020 Award ratesBaseline or higher National Defence Clearance highly regarded.With the Defence Industry expanding rapidly in South Australia, Wilson Security is seeking Defence Security Officers to support our Base Security Services operations across the region.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Physical Access Control DutiesProviding strong Customer Service solutions to visitors, contractors & clientsProactively monitoring CCTV and Access Control SystemsConducting building patrols to actively report and mitigate security & safety risksIdentifying and reporting hazards and building faults for rectificationProviding support to local Units and FacilitiesDedicated Monitoring centre and Emergency Coordination dutiesResponding to emergency situationsThis is a unique opportunity for those with a background in ADF, security, policing, correctional institutions or customer service to transition into a dynamic and rewarding role.LOCATIONS:Regional SARemote SAWHAT WE OFFER:Competitive compensation above SSIA award ratesProfessional development and career advancement opportunitiesA supportive and inclusive work environment.Work life balanceAs a Defence Security Officer, you will help safeguard Australia's national security. We offer full-time positions with flexible rosters, including 4/4 off, day-only, DIDO, and family-friendly options. Relieving Officer roles are also available, with additional allowance of up to $2500 giving you flexibility, change of environment and permanent hours. At Wilson Security, we are committed to professional development, offering training and career advancement opportunities both within the Defence contract and our wider security footprint.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Be available to work 12-hour shifts, including nights/weekends (24/7 availability)Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.Take pride in their presentation and bearing in all interactions.Be adaptable to an ever-changing environment.Be a lateral thinker and problem solver, resolving issues that may arise.Understand the chain of command and correct escalation process.Ability to provide detailed and factually accurate reports on security incidents and HSE hazards both electronically or on paper.Have sound basic IT skills using a range of software.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:MUST be an Australian CitizenCurrent Valid SA Security LicenceA current and valid SA Driver's LicenceA current First Aid CertificateDESIRABLE:Negative Vetting Clearance (NV1)ADF Veterans highly encouraged to apply.
