The Role As part of a team, you will be responsible for deliverables including supporting and provision of subject matter expertise on petroleum, oil, and lubricant product (POL) usage for Defence. The role involves utilising technical knowledge and problem solving to provide guidance to Defence units and departments on POL related issues.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a working knowledge of:
Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants (POL) product types/ brands/ manufacturers, industry trends and technological advancements, regulatory and safety changes, as well as fuel properties, usage and storage requirements. POL laboratory testing processes and requirements from a product quality perspective. Program testing performance metrics, volumes, reporting and changes. About our Team Fuel Capability Branch's (FCB) has responsibility for operating, maintaining, governing, enhancing and sustaining the Defence Fuel Supply Chain (DFSC) across Australia and globally. As part of Joint Logistics Command, we are responsible for end-to-end Defence fuel capability.
This includes:
Fuel supply. Strategic asset management. Engineering services. Key strategic projects outlined in the National Defence Strategy. Fuel and fuel infrastructure specifications standards. Product procurement. Support the transition of military capabilities to renewable energies. Fuel capability. The DFSC and the Defence Fuel Network (DFN). As an integrated and geographically dispersed team, our Vision is to safely fuel the force by delivering 0:1:100 - zero loss incidents and injuries, one safe, integrated resilient DFSC, and 100% deliveries in full and on time. The branch workforce is a blend of APS, ADF, Reservist and contractors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular MS Word and MS Excel, and general office based ICT.
