About the Role As a Decommissioning and Archiving Analyst, you will be responsible for the systematic decommissioning of obsolete ICT systems and ensuring the secure data archiving according to governance and compliance requirements.
This will involve coordinating closely with various stakeholders to document decommissioning procedures, perform data extraction, and transfer legacy data to archival solutions.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Lead and coordinate the decommissioning of legacy systems and ensure archival processes align with organisational policies and legislative requirements.Develop and implement strategies for effective data extraction, migration, and archival to preserve information integrity and accessibility.Conduct audits and quality assurance activities to verify the completeness and accuracy of data archiving and decommissioning practices.Document procedures and outcomes related to decommissioning and archiving activities to maintain compliance with internal and external audit requirements.Evaluate and recommend improvements to current decommissioning and archiving processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.Skills and Experience Required: Proficiency in handling large-scale data migration, storage solutions and ensuring compliance with data protection laws and government policies.Capability to develop and implement decommissioning strategies that minimize disruptions to ongoing operations and maximize data integrity.Knowledge of various decommissioning tools and software, including data erasure and data backup technologies.Familiarity with cloud technologies and operational strategies.Experience in documenting decommissioning processes and outcomes, ensuring clear and concise reporting is maintained for audit and compliance purposes.Benefits: Competitive daily rateOpportunity available within: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC and WAStrong contract opportunity to work with a leading Federal Government Agency.How to Apply:
