Your work as a Debris Project Manager will make a real difference as you support the Response Team with various tasks, including overseeing all aspects of the Debris Management Project. You will also be responsible for overseeing the hauling contractors to ensure that all debris is properly removed according to local, state, and federal regulations. Your work will directly impact our ability to help our clients and communities respond and clean up after a storm. Thus, enabling us to successfully initiate and deliver projects and rapidly respond to our clients' needs by having boots on the ground immediately after disaster strikes.We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible, and confident individual with a commitment to integrity and the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with minimal supervision. If this sounds like you, then you have found the right fit in Witt O'Brien's.Position Details Reports to: Sr. Project Manager Location: East TexasPosition Type: On-Call FLSA Status: Non-ExemptPay: HourlyCompensation: Commensurate with experienceTravel Requirements: Travel requiredEssential Job FunctionsCoordinate pre-event planning with the Client and ensure that all needed pre-event documentation is acquired from the Client.Responsible for making sure that all work is always being performed safely.Ensure that all client project documentation is in accordance with FEMA policy.Ensure all work performed is in accordance with Witt O'Brien's policies.Provide daily project oversight and quality assurance.Mobilize upon notification to meet with the Client. (There may be a contractually obligated timeframe associated.)Liaise between the Client, its sub-divisions, and departments throughout the project.Manage and ensure performance of personnel daily throughout the project.Resolve any contract, performance, or personnel issues in a timely manner, and always keep the Client and senior WOB leadership informed.Inform senior WOB leadership of project status and projected timeline.Prepare reports and meet with Client regularly as required by Client and contract.Monitor and track the overall costs associated with all aspects of the project. Provide technical assistance to the Client in all phases of debris operations.Work with the hauling contractor to make sure that debris removal efforts are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.Develop and maintain local Network employees in support of the Company's efforts in providing the best service to our clients.Ensure that the Witt O'Brien's Network is properly trained, informed, and maintain a high state of readiness in the event of an emergency.Be cognizant of current affairs in the local response community by attending meetings, reading news updates, etc., and remaining informed of events that have an impact on the Company, our clients, and the community.Remain alert and aware and anticipates the needs of our clients.Constantly seek new business opportunities for the Company.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Job Requirements5 years of experience in a Debris Leadership role1 year of experience as a Debris Project ManagerExperience with Microsoft Office Suite.Must be highly independent, capable of making decisions in a highly charged and dynamic environment, and skilled in team building and consensus building.Must have valid Drivers License (not suspended) and active auto insuranceAbility to understand, interpret, apply, and explain federal and agency policies, regulations, and procedures.Ability to establish working relationships with community agencies and service providers.Ability to effectively develop and supervise multiple programs and their staff.Ability to coordinate program activities with other departments within Witt O'Brien's as well as community agencies.Ability to work successfully with socio-economic and ethnically diverse populations.Ability to utilize public transportation such as airplanes and taxi cabs for occasional business travel.Ability to apply considerable levels of concentration constantly throughout the day.Ability to effectively communicate verbally, individually and in groups with internal contacts, property owners, and other organizations or officials as appropriate.Ability to negotiate and resolve problems.Ability to effectively write letters, reports, procedures, marketing material, maintain documentation and complete required forms.Ability to work nights, weekends, or non-regular hours.Ability to operate a motor vehicle.Preferred Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fieldsJob Description and Hiring DisclaimerThis position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job. It recognizes that other related duties not specifically mentioned might also be performed, and that not all responsibilities may be carried out depending on operational needs.The hiring department will conduct interviews of qualified individuals prior to requesting a criminal background check, and no job application submitted prior to such interview shall inquire into an applicant's criminal history.
