Lead and streamline administrative operations in the MDHS Deanery, supervising and developing a high-performance team. About the Role Reporting to the Director – Deanery Operations, the Deanery Administration Manager is a senior role critical to the smooth functioning of the MDHS Deanery. You will lead an administration team of approximately 8 Executive Assistants and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring streamlined best practices. The role involves collaborating closely with the Dean's support team, and driving continuous improvement in administrative processes. This role is predominantly based onsite.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead, direct and implement business processes change activities, including planning and evaluation of the objectives and strategies of services offered best practice processes and system within the Deanery. Manage the day-to-day operational processes of the EA team to standardise ways of working with Executives, to enable team members to stand in for each other during periods of leave, without a significant impact on the Executive. Ensure adherence to university policies and procedures related to administrative tasks Identify and manage opportunities for leveraging resources and improvement in processes that will support the effective functioning of the Deanery Executive and their support team. Who We Are Looking For You will possess exceptional attention to detail, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage people and solve problems. You will be highly enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and cooperatively within a complex, matrix-style management system, demonstrating professional and collegial behavior of the highest standard.
You will also have:
A relevant postgraduate qualification in a relevant field with extensive experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or industry training. Prior Office manager or similar experience with specialised expertise in operating an efficient and best practice administrative function Supervisory experience including demonstrated experience in leading and managing multiple team members. Demonstrated organisational, administrative and project management skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop, implement and maintain best practice system and administrative processes. This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
