The Opportunity Carey Baptist Collect Harrisdale Secondary College is seeking a passionate leader to fulfill the appointment of Dean of Curriculum. This position reports directly to the Assistant Principal (Curriculum) and Principal and is a permanent full-time position commencing in January 2025. Dean of Curriculum is a key leader and a member of the Secondary Leadership Team. Taking a comprehensive and integrated approach to curriculum, the primary function of the Dean is to ensure that the College delivers high-quality learning to students. About the Role The Dean of Curriculum works closely with Department Heads to develop and implement the curriculum, ensuring high teaching and learning standards. Key responsibilities include managing college timetables, learning management systems, staff rosters, student reporting, and exams like WACE, NAPLAN, and OLNA. The role also involves overseeing teacher relief recruitment, supporting students at academic risk, developing curriculum handbooks, managing curriculum meetings, and ensuring compliance and effective communication with parents. Additionally, it includes analyzing data and implementing new systems. Who you are You have a passion for and can demonstrate a deep knowledge of curriculum within a secondary context. You have experience and demonstrated success in effective delivery of teaching and learning programs.
