We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dealership Accountant/ Financial Controller to join our finance team and play a key role in driving our dealership's financial success.Position Overview:As a Dealership Accountant/ Financial Controller at Hamilton Automotive Group, you will oversee key financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes.
This role involves preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.Manage and oversee daily accounting functions such as reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.Monitor compliance with financial regulations and dealership policies.FBT / BAS preparation.Preparation of year-end accounts prior to hand over to external accountants.Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.Collaborate with the management team to provide insights and support strategic decisions.Supervise and mentor administration staff.What We're Looking For:Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the automotive industry.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (ERA/Pentana Solutions desirable) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Proactive leadership skills.
