Position overview
The Analyst, Procurement Strategy & Governance is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategy and governance and supporting the development and implementation of the University policy, procedures and frameworks across the Procurement Division.
The Analyst will provide data insights and policy recommendations to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness of procurement activities.
As an Analyst, Procurement Strategy & Governance you will:
Develop and execute procurement strategy and governance that aligns with the university's goals, ensuring effective sourcing, cost savings, and value for money.
Ensure that procurement activities adhere to university policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Monitor compliance and address any issues or discrepancies.
Analyse and assess current procurement processes, identifying areas for agility, improvement and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collect, analyse, and report on procurement data, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and market trends, to support strategic decision-making.
Assist in the development and refinement of procurement policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect industry standards.
To be successful, you'll have:
A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Strong understanding of procurement strategies, governance, and compliance.
Proven ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
