Senior Data Engineer/ArchitectLocation: Flexible (Sydney) | Contract Role
Are you a seasoned data engineer with a passion for strategy and team leadership? I'm looking for a Senior Data Engineer/Architect to join the Enterprise Platform Data program. This role goes beyond individual contributions – I need someone who can shape strategy, uplift the team, and lead from a technical perspective to drive advanced data solution development and management.
Key Responsibilities:Develop strategic data solutions, from concept to deploymentLead and mentor the engineering team, focusing on tech excellence and collaborationGather and translate business requirements into actionable technical designsOversee testing phases and ensure successful project deliveryWork closely with both technical and non-technical teams to align goals and outcomesKey Skills & Experience:Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with leadership experienceHands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processesStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skills to guide the team effectivelyExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Knowledge of data governance, security, and complianceExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)Familiarity with scripting languages such as PythonExperience working in agile environments, with a focus on team development and tech strategyTechnical Tools/Programs:Snowflake, BigQueryTableau, SQLGit, PythonContract Rate:Competitive rates, up to $1050/day
