Our client is a global business that has become a major player throughout the Australian mining and resources sector.

You can expect to work in a corporate environment with visiting international colleagues and guests.
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal who has a background from a national or top-tier law firm, professional services office, or similar in-house team.
Background from the resources sector or experience with matters relating to the Corporations Act will be highly regarded.
This role sits in the Legal & Compliance Division and reports to the Head of Legal.
You will have crossover with other senior stakeholders in the wider business.
The role will focus on: Drafting and reviewing basic documents including service contracts, consultancy agreements, and other engagement letters (with supervision); Conducting or assisting with research tasks as directed including Corporations Act and other mining-related laws; Completing ASIC Forms and lodgement both online and in person, liaising with ASIC in relation to queries and payments where required; Transaction support including through process and contracts control; Assisting with internal training including its arrangement and material preparation; Attending legal meetings and actioning items determined during those meetings; Drafting/preparing routine legal correspondence and documentation; and Maintaining legal records as required by legislation and company policy and otherwise by good corporate governance.
The attributes and experience that we are seeking: At least 2 years prior experience in a paralegal role; senior candidates are encouraged to apply; Background in professional services, national or top-tier law firm, or similar business; Experience with matters relating to the Corporations Act; Advanced keyboard skills, with the ability to work in track changes, prepare compare documents, and format/number legal agreements; Advanced MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point skills; ideally Visio experience; Accuracy, strong attention to detail, and organisational skills, demonstrated numeracy skills.
Our client has a preference to hire a Career Corporate Paralegal.
