About the Role:
Davies Stewart are partnering with McMahon Services to recruit for a Project Manager. As a Project Manager, you will report to the Construction Manager and be responsible for strategically managing and delivering assigned projects from contract award through to execution and close-out on time and within budget, while aligning company outcomes and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

-Project management

Monitor and review progress reports and adjust staffing/resourcing, financial, schedule as and when required
Recommend and implement the agreed business process improvement strategy.
Optimise and improve processes and the overall approach as and when required
Apply relevant company systems and procedures and approve new site procedures/ instructions where necessary.

-Commercial, Procurement and Contract Management

Drive and support contracts management
Manage contractors and other project vendors and service suppliers
Review and approve RFI, Notices of Delay, variations and EOT submissions
Review and approve Progress Claims to ensure claims are submitted in accordance with individual project contractual Terms & Conditions
Request and prepare Subcontract Agreements, according to company delegations.
Review and approve supplier/subcontractor invoices, including capturing retention to be held.
Manage/review retention releases.

-Team management

Lead and manage the project team for the effective project delivery
Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for senior management.

-Financial management

Review cost control against budget, monitoring productivity against the project plan.
Prepare reports as and when required for internal and external use.
Monitor project cashflow and manage payment from customers

-Stakeholder management

Maintains a strong relationship with customers and contractors
Monitor and manage Industrial relations requirements and ensure site compliance

Skills & Experience:

Strong communication skills including the ability to collaborate with others
Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
Proven experience in major construction/infrastructure project delivery, preferably in civil engineering
Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management
Strong experience in contract administration and management
Knowledge of the engineering industry and Australian Standards is required
Proficiency in using project management suite of software ERP systems and project management platforms
