This is an exciting opportunity for a Databricks Administrator to enhance our team.
In this role, you will support Data Engineering Teams in large-scale data processing and analytics, supporting impactful projects and advancing your skills in a supportive environment.
Experience Required: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Databricks administration. Proven experience with Databricks on AWS, including cluster management, performance tuning, security, and entitlement management. Familiarity with AWS services and their integration with Databricks. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation. Strong understanding of big data technologies and cloud computing. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Databricks Certification is desirable. AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage Databricks clusters on AWS. Monitor and optimise Databricks environment performance. Implement and manage Databricks access controls, roles, and entitlements to ensure secure data access. Collaborate with cloud architects, data engineers, and security teams for seamless integration with AWS services. Provide technical support to data engineers and data scientists. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cluster performance issues. Work with AWS and Databricks support teams for complex problem resolution. Prioritise, categorise, and assign support tickets based on urgency and complexity. Ensure timely responses and resolutions to user issues. Maintain the security and compliance of Databricks workloads. Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM) within Databricks. Implement network security measures, including VPC configurations and firewall rules. Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
