About the role

Our Database team is responsible for designing, building, running and optimising database architecture for our customers. 

As the leader of this team, you provide technical oversight, empower, coach and develop your team so they grow, and we do too. you will also provide input to customer's strategy and solutions as well as contributing to AC3's standard operating procedures. 
Manage, maintain and improve the Database services for AC3 and customer systemsMonitor performance of key components, solutions and servicesCompile weekly and monthly reports on managed Database servicesProvide input into the design and implementation of technical solutions and services for AC3 and its customersDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure the team maintains current technology skills and knowledge in their respective technology pillarsEnsure operational readiness of new customers and services by driving transition activitiesBe the lead SME for customer and corporate databasesIdentify new technology, gaps and improvement areas promptlyAct as a team escalation point for high priority team or operational issues/incidentsDevelop and maintain career development plans for all team members Essential Experience Experience designing, building and maintaining database schemas, tables, procedures and permissionsExperience working within an MSP or MSSP highly regardedDemonstrated expertise restoring and recovering corrupted databasesStrong database performance troubleshooting skillsTechnical expertise in Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL servers, database high availability and disaster recovery design, implementation and on-going operationUnderstanding storage technology, virtualisation environments, public cloud environments, operation systems and networkingProgramming skills such as Shell scripts for automation a plusStrong communication skills and eager to learn, grow & mentor.Australian citizen or Permanent resident only Benefits Exciting time to join a fast growing Multi Cloud Solutions Provider with excellent reputationGenuine flexible work environment (WFH & Office)Varied engagements, environments and clients (corporate and government)Strong investment in training and upskilling - certifications paid for.Mature team environment with a high level of engagementAwesome culture #4 Best Places to Work in AustraliaFun & Friendly teamFree access to Fitness & Wellbeing classesDiscounts on all IT products & AccessoriesVehicle salary packagingSalary Continuance InsurancePaid Parental Leave for main & secondary carerDiscounts on Health InsuranceFree access to financial advisers & psychologists'Me Days' - half-day Fridays once a month!Convenient Sydney CBD locationFacilities for socialising and relaxing$160-$170,000 package per annum Culture
