Perfect opportunity for an experienced Cloud Functional Tester with expertise in cloud environments, functional and regression testing, and performance and security awareness 6-Month Full-Time Contract with Growth Potential Modern office located in South Wharf Free on-site gym membership, discounted health insurance, and other employee benefits The Role Exciting growth of our organisation sees the need for an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Functional Tester to join our Data Services Development team. Based in our modern South Wharf office, this role is critical in validating the successful migration of various applications to Cloud. Performing application functional testing, application regression testing, and end-to-end testing, to ensure functionalities and performance remain unaffected by the migration and our clients' expectations are successfully met!
Key Responsibilities Functional Testing : Design and execute test cases based on business requirements to validate that critical application functions perform as expected in the cloud environment. Conduct end-to-end tests to ensure seamless functionality. Regression Testing : Develop and execute regression test cases, leveraging automation where possible, to confirm that core functionalities remain unaffected by the migration. Maintain and update regression suites as needed. Performance Validation : Assess application responsiveness and scalability in the cloud environment, identifying potential bottlenecks and suggesting optimizations to enhance performance. Security Testing : Perform basic security assessments and validate that the cloud infrastructure adheres to best practices. Identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with relevant security standards where applicable. Test Automation : Automate repetitive functional and regression test cases to improve testing efficiency. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support : Collaborate with end-users to conduct UAT, gathering feedback to ensure the application meets business requirements and user expectations. Required Skills Cloud Knowledge : VMware on Cloud Functional & Regression Testing : Strong background in functional testing, with experience in test case management tools (e.g. Jira, Test Track, etc.). Familiarity with automated regression testing tools like Selenium or Cypress. Performance Testing : Proficiency in performance testing with tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner, and knowledge of performance optimization techniques for cloud environments. Security Awareness : Understanding of basic security testing methods and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) and familiarity with cloud security best practices. Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving cloud-specific issues. Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and support application releases. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focused on cloud, functional, or automated testing. Certification in VMware or cloud technology is a plus. A competitive remuneration package is on offer and will be based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and knowledge.
