Database Administrator

Peoplebank is seeking a skilled DBA for a large project within Federal Government in order to support process improvement.

The successful candidate will operate within highly secure environments and will therefore require the candidate to hold a minimum of a NV1 clearance. Duration:
12 Months initial engagement, with high possibilities of extension options for a further 2* 12 months.

Location:  Edinburgh - onsite 5 days a week

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and configure tools to enable automation of database administration tasks
• Monitor performance statistics and create reports
• Experience in variety of DBMS, including Microsoft SQL/Express, MYSQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Identify and investigates complex problems and issues and recommends corrective actions
• Perform routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of database and related products
• Desirable experience in Microsoft BackOffice products and/or Red Hat Linux experience



Due to the security requirements, candidates must be Australian Citizens holding an existing security clearance.
