Job DescriptionServices Australia (the agency) Technical Leads (Data Science & Data Engineer) work under the broad guidance of a National Manager to deliver quality outcomes.
They work with a high level of autonomy, with decision-making highly dependent on their own judgement.
In performing this role you will identify and drive innovation, manage and lead change, and have an active role in contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction.
You will have the opportunity to use the agency's data holdings (big administrative data sets) to solve complex problems and drive agency strategy and decision making that has a real impact on our customers.
The agency's data and analytical staff work across a range of business areas and provide support by collecting, designing, analysing and reporting information.
Data and analytical staff manage key strategic projects or functions and provide advice based on extensive analysis of data and information to support decision making across the agency.
They use an investigative approach and work with their teams to develop and implement solutions to complex matters and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policy and frameworks.
Technical Leads have expertise in current tools, methods and technologies, while also having the ability to understand new technology and ensure they impart this knowledge to others.
