The role:
The Data Systems Coordinator provides clear policy/procedures and user training for systems, leading the development and maintenance of data models.
The role will also be responsible for coordinating with third party providers, management and senior leaders in relation to software and system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities include:
Collaboration with management to determine short and long-term data collection needs and appropriate data resources Formulate, implement, and facilitate skill development in staff to ensure appropriate data collection policies and procedures. Train and educate all users on data collection systems and procedures. Establish data quality standards and work with management teams and/or external stakeholders to ensure standards are met. Ensure quality data collection techniques are established for reporting. Maintain expertise in Centacare North Queensland data management systems including but not limited to internal client databases and national reporting databases such as DEX. Ensure data systems are operational, accessible and current. Provide issue resolution to end users. Perform and document procedures for data preparation including data cleansing, data mining, standardisation and analysis. Develop data collection and evaluation methodologies, in collaboration with management and senior leadership as required. Support the implementation of security and compliance integration methodology related to data collection storage and reporting. Research and implement system integrations that are beneficial to overall data storage or reporting. Understand and support the implementation of relevant compliance standards associated with privacy, data collections and storage and reporting in collaboration with the management and senior leadership group. Evaluate current systems to improve operations and reporting. Collaborate with program management and senior leadership in the development and preparation of effective service monitoring measures and their data reports. Maintain close working relationships with third party system providers and software vendors. Facilitate the installation and roll out of organisational required updates for database and compliance software reporting. Provide software and client database training and support to staff.
Skills and Experiences:
To be successful in the role, you will need:
3+ years of experience in the areas of data management, service performance monitoring Possession of qualifications relevant to the field Advanced knowledge and experience managing complex database systems and/or data warehouses such as Sharepoint and CRM High level communication skills both verbally and written Ability to prioritise, set deadlines and operate independently Ability to rapidly understand, interpret and respond to data needs of the organisation and provide reports to senior leaders and managers.
