Data Scientist - Randstad

Overview: Join a team of data scientists, data analysts, simulation specialists, and engineers that are involved in end-to-end analysis of our clients' assets.
Specifically, you will be a part of a global team that uses data to identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities to improve asset capability and performance in the short, medium, and long term.

About the Role: Identify business and performance improvement opportunities across the BHP value chain.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the relevant business problems are properly defined.
Investigate complex problems using a structured problem-solving approach.
Write code and conduct analysis utilizing a range of technologies and techniques.
Enable performance improvement by producing actionable insight from data.
Confidently present ideas, results, and recommendations to stakeholders at all organisational levels.
About you: Have experience programming in Python to:
Build descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive modeling.
Perform structured and unstructured data mining.
Perform dimensionality reduction and feature engineering.
Apply machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
Have strong presentation and communication skills.

Highly desirable: Analytics associated with simulation models Background in optimisation/decision engines We have multiple roles available for an urgent start.
