Our high performing team specialise in Python, Snowflake and the latest AWS tools to support development.What you'll doWe are seeking a Data Scientist to join our dynamic team, playing a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and creating advanced models to optimise key metrics across the business. This role is pivotal to helping our business grow and improve through actionable insights and innovative data solutions.As a Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for: Analysing large, complex datasets to generate business insights that influence strategic decisions Developing and implementing statistical models and machine learning algorithms to optimise business performance Building predictive and prescriptive models that drive customer engagement, improve operations, and increase profitability Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Business Development, to identify business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and ensuring data is utilised effectively across the organisation Continuously improving data quality, model performance, and predictive accuracy Leveraging data to experiment, test hypotheses, and uncover new business opportunities Managing and maintaining data pipelines and ensuring scalable model deployment This is not just about technical skills; it's about being part of a forward-thinking team that's passionate about using data to make impactful changes and drive business growth.What you'll bringIdeally you will have: 5+ years of experience working with data, particularly in developing business insights and predictive models Proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience working with machine learning frameworks Strong analytical and statistical knowledge with hands-on experience in building models that impact key business metrics Experience with data wrangling, feature engineering, and working with large, unstructured datasets A solid understanding of data architecture, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting techniques Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset Create compelling data visualizations and narratives to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders A team player with a passion for learning, curiosity, and creativity to constantly improve and innovate Why Open?Open is on a mission to provide the best insurance experiences, at the best price, for the world.
