The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Data Scientist to join our IT team. This position will report directly into our Head of Data and AI.
We are looking for a self-motivated Data Scientist who exhibits enthusiasm, curiosity, and a proactive approach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a profound passion for data exploration, the discovery of insights, and programming. You should demonstrate a readiness to address complex challenges, an ability to think analytically, and the capacity to introduce innovative solutions. We foster a fast-paced and collaborative environment that emphasises continuous learning and innovation. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of data initiatives, applying the latest in technology and methodologies to advance our capabilities. You will have the opportunity to:
Lead projects in generative AI, predictive AI, and machine learning. Provide insights that influence decision-making at the highest level of the company. Contribute significantly to a culture that prioritises innovation and continuous learning. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collect data, analyse data to find actionable insights and contribute to continuous improvement. Analyse, clean and prepare data for accurate data models. Design and develop algorithms for predictive and generative AI models. Train and fine tune models for accuracy and better performance. Deploy robust and applicable models into production. Collaborate with leaders across the business to understand business requirements, deliver data-driven solutions and enhance data capabilities. Effectively convey analytical results and insights to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise. Pursue enhancements in our processes, tools, and methodologies to elevate efficiencies in our operational environment and solutions. About You: 5+ years' experience working in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning. Tertiary certification in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, and Engineering or equivalent. Strong proficiency in Python, and SQL . Demonstrated experience in machine learning techniques and algorithms. Proficiency in tools such as AzureML, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Azure Synapse Analytics. Proficiency in business intelligence tool – e.g., Microsoft Power BI/Tableau. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong mathematical and numeracy skills. Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking abilities and a passion for working with data. APPLY!
