We are seeking a Data Product Manager who will be developing and driving Optus' data management strategy enterprise-wide, working closely with the Director - Data Lifecycle Management.
Central to this role is your ability to contribute to innovative ways to build scalable data management patterns which meet both our business needs and improve our data risk management.

The Data Product Manager is responsible for designing and maintaining the product management and business processes necessary to identify, articulate, deliver, and sustain a market-leading capability for Optus in the data management domain.
This includes, but is not limited to, industry research, technical understanding, process mapping, and delivery to ensure market-leading understanding and delivery of efficient well-managed data.
The requirements span the brands, segments, and channels of the Optus group.

Contribute to innovative and scalable data management patterns of operation, which implement and embed data controls.
Translate requirements of large-scale transformation initiatives into smaller actionable items.
Assist with leadership of data transformation initiatives with a focus on rapid implementation and execution of multiple initiatives in parallel.
Continuously identify opportunities and benefits to form and refine Optus' processes and opportunities to improve our data risk management.
Refinement, implementation, and monitoring of data management controls.
Contribution to business cases and prioritisation assessment for new initiatives, ensuring continued focus on the most high-impact data management initiatives.

Data, Engineering, Science, or IT degree.
Proven experience working in data, IT, digital, or customer experience in a similar industry (i.e., telecommunications or information technology) underpinned with exposure to Agile environment.
Prior experience in data management, data analytics, or digital data-related fields.
Confirmed experience balancing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Strong customer focus and passion for customer experience.
