The Team The role sits in the Data Capability Exchange Section in the Enterprise Transformation Branch in the Enterprise Transformation Group.
The Data Capability Exchange team are a collaborative and driven team of professionals focused on the development and implementation of the data and information management framework, systems, strategy, and policies. We actively engage with our business areas to support their business needs and improve the level of information management and data maturity across the AEC.

The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Product Manager to join our team. It is an exciting time as the team works closely with the Election Systems Modernisation program to define the landscape for the new AEC systems and processes.
The Product Manager will work with their team and Product Owners as required to support the individual business areas requirements of the products and ensure a viable solution for implementation. The core design of the foundational solution is pivotal when designing for business rollout and taking into account unique requirements. This role will manage the consistency and quality of products aligning to program standards.
You will be responsible for providing input to the overall project schedules identifying key milestones and resource requirements related to the product design execution. Working closely with the Project Manager to identify risks and ensure the product is delivered on time and efficiently. Determining feature requirements by researching stakeholder and agency requirements and demands.
The Data Platform Product Manager will facilitate internal stakeholder engagement related to design of system components and liaise with Technical Project Lead to ensure design requirements are being met. You will Design the solution components in line with scope and associated parameters ensuring the design is fit for purpose at each stage.
To excel you'll have:
Demonstrated ability in successfully leading and motivating multiple teams in an Agile operational environment. Working in a large section that has competing priorities, to deliver positive outcomes within limited time frames. Significant experience in product development in the role Product Manager with the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and negotiate with team members, business areas and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly gain knowledge of the software development lifecycle and AEC technology landscape to guide and manage the technical teams within the program.Analytical abilities with the ability to obtain accurate conclusions and apply innovative initiatives while contributing to strategic objectives.Knowledge of both APS and Labour Hire recruitment processes to support the ongoing resourcing of the Centres of Excellence.Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field (ie: Computer Science, Data Engineering).Knowledge of, or ability to quickly gain, knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.AEC employees must be Australian citizens.Any person who is, and seen to be active in political affairs, and intends to publicly carry on this activity, may compromise the strict neutrality of the AEC and cannot be considered.Applicants are required to consent to, undergo, obtain and maintain a character clearance.Applicants are required to consent to, undergo, obtain and maintain the security clearance required for this role.Applicants may be required to undertake psychometric testing as part of this recruitment process.#J-18808-Ljbffr
